ABOUT MY RESEARCH
I am a lecturer in Management at Siena University School of Business.
I specialize in two key areas of organization theory and organizational behavior. The first is institutional change and its impact on actors in the field. I explore the dynamics of resistance to change, threats to professional identity, and the reasons for the failure of reform in public institutions.
The second aspect of my research examines the “dark side” of organizational behavior, including topics such as corruption and unethical conduct. I aim to shed light on unethical behavior in vocational professions, such as healthcare, by investigating why highly-skilled and altruistically-motivated employees act unethically, and how they use specialized knowledge, professional identity, and networking to serve their own interests.
